Unauthorized Vehicles Using Community Trails

The District has received an increasing number of reports of unauthorized motorized or electric vehicles operating in various common areas throughout the District, and specifically along the trail in the Oyster Creek Greenbelt. Several residents also have reported damage to their private properties due to vehicle operators “cutting through” their driveways and yards to gain greenbelt access.

Use of the District’s trails and sidewalks is restricted to pedestrian, mobility support equipment (including wheelchairs), and / or bicycle traffic only. The operation of unauthorized motorized or electric vehicles is potentially hazardous not only to the pedestrians on the trail, but to the person improperly operating the vehicle on District property. Please report any unauthorized use to Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office at (281) 341-4665. Violators may be subject to fines and prosecution. Let’s keep our community safe by abiding by the rules!
