Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District NO. 146 (FBCMUD146) will be hosting an EARTH-KIND Landscaping Program on Saturday, October 6, 2018 beginning at 10:00am at the Covered Pavilion next to the Welcome Center and pool. The program will last approximately one-hour and snacks will be provided.
The program is a cooperative effort between FBCMUD146 and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Master Gardeners Program. Master Gardener Specialist, Peggy d’Hemecourt and Michael Garrett, will discuss using environmentally friendly management practices to produce landscapes that are beautiful, low-maintenance, and sustainable. The goals of EARTH-KIND landscape are to conserve water and energy, reduce pesticide and fertilizer use and to recycle landscape waste.
This program will help satisfy requirements of the North Fort Bend Water Authority (NFBWA) Larry’s Tool Box program that incentivizes MUD’s to conserve and promote water conservation initiatives to their residents. District’s receiving the necessary points are eligible for a discounted water rate the following year.
So please join us for this very informative program on Saturday, October 6th at 10:00am. In addition to snacks, each attendee will receive a special gift and be eligible for the door prize drawing at the end of the event. Prizes include rain barrels, gift certificates, plants and more!
